Thyme Heal’s Gargle combines pleasant tasting herbs that can give effective relief from sore throats. When used regularly it also helps improve gum health and counters bad breath.
Active ingredients are:
Sage - is approved by German scientific authorities for use in inflammations of the mouth and throat, an historical use for which the herb is prized. Laboratory tests indicate a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action including against the organisms that cause gum disease. Clinical trials show sage effectively relieves viral sore throats.
Thyme - is an effective antimicrobial against bacteria, fungi and viruses in laboratory tests. Thyme has a long history of use as a gargle for treating mouth and throat infections.
Rosemary - has a great range of antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral activity and is also recognised as a pain relieving herb.
Myrrh - is an ancient herb much valued throughout the ages and included in the Pharmacopoeias of many countries until relatively modern times. Myrrh also reduces inflammation, helps tissue to heal faster and most importantly fights a variety of infectious organisms.
Tea tree oil - contributes to a broad spectrum antimicrobial action.
